Amy Kaufman

Amy Kaufman is a staff writer at the Los Angeles Times, where she has covered film, celebrity and pop culture since 2009. She reports from industry events like the Academy Awards, the Sundance Film Festival and the Golden Globes. In addition to profiling hundreds of stars, she has broken major investigative stories on sexual harassment in Hollywood. She is also the author of the best-selling book “Bachelor Nation: Inside the World of America’s Favorite Guilty Pleasure,” a behind-the-scenes look at the reality television franchise “The Bachelor.”

Sarah Shun-lien Bynum

Sarah Shun-lien Bynum is the author of two novels—Ms. Hempel Chronicles, a finalist for the PEN/Faulkner Award, and Madeleine Is Sleeping, a finalist for the National Book Award and winner of the Janet Heidinger Kafka Prize—and a story collection, Likes, a finalist for the L.A. Times Book Prize in Fiction. The recipient of an O. Henry Award, a Whiting Award, and an NEA Fellowship, she was named one of “20 Under 40” fiction writers by The New Yorker. She lives in Los Angeles.

Patricia Lockwood

Patricia Lockwood was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana and raised in all the worst cities of the Midwest. She is the author of two poetry collections, Balloon Pop Outlaw Black and Motherland Fatherland Homelandsexuals, a New York Times Notable Book, and the memoir Priestdaddy, which was named one of the ten best books of 2017 by The New York Times Book Review. Lockwood’s writing has appeared in The New York Times, The New Yorker, The New Republic, and the London Review of Books, where she is a contributing editor.
