Elvis Mitchell

Elvis Mitchell is an American film critic and host of KCRW’s nationally syndicated pop culture and entertainment show, The Treatment, since its inception in 1996. Mitchell was born in Highland Park, Michigan, and graduated in 1980 from Wayne State University, where he majored in English.

Glenn Frankel

Glenn Frankel worked for many years at The Washington Post, winning a Pulitzer Prize in 1989. He has taught journalism at Stanford University and the University of Texas at Austin, where he directed the School of Journalism. He has won the National Jewish Book Award, was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and is a Motion Picture Academy Film Scholar. He is the bestselling author of The Searchers, High Noon and his latest release Shooting Midnight Cowboy: Art, Sex, Loneliness, Liberation, and the Making of a Dark Classic. He lives in Arlington, Virginia.

Mark Harris

Mark Harris is the author of Pictures at a Revolution: Five Movies and the Birth of the New Hollywood, which was a New York Times notable book of the year, and Five Came Back: A Story of Hollywood and the Second World War, which was an L.A. Times Book Prize finalist in History. His most recent release is Mike Nichols: A Life. He is currently a writer for New York, where he often covers the intersection of culture and politics. He lives in New York City with his husband, Tony Kushner.

Melissa Maerz

Melissa Maerz has been a journalist for 18 years, having worked as an editor at SPIN and Rolling Stone, a staff writer for Entertainment Weekly and the Los Angeles Times, and as a writer/producer on HBO’s Vice News Tonight. She also co-founded the New York Magazine’s Vulture website. Her newest book is “Alright, Alright, Alright” an oral history of the cult classic film Dazed and Confused. She lives in Portland, Oregon.
