Presented by Peroni and Eater LASee how Los Angeles’ most celebrated restaurants and chefs interpret what a ‘burger’ means to them. Try creations from Ford’s Filling Station, The Tasting Kitchen and more then vote on your favorite L.A. burger. Find out which craft beers Christina Perozzi and Hallie Beaune, also known as “The Beer Chicks,” have selected for the evening. And don’t miss Marc Boussarie, The Counter’s Executive Chef in a cooking demo on building a unique burger. • Excited that craft beer is finally getting the recognition it deserves, beer personalities Christina Perozzi and Hallie Beaune, also known as “The Beer Chicks,” are thrilled to be curating a special selection of craft and artisanal beers hand-picked for The Taste. They are the authors of The Naked Pint: An Unadulterated Guide to Craft Beer and are partners and beer sommeliers at the newly opened 8th Street Bottle Shop in downtown Los Angeles.

• 8:00-8:45 p.m. Burger Flavorology by The Counter: Awakening Your Burger Creativity Marc Boussarie, The Counter’s Executive Chef, will empower you to transform your next backyard cookout into something that takes your guests by surprise and makes you the envy of your neighbors. After laying the foundation of how to properly handle, prepare and cook your burger, Marc will demonstrate several unique burger builds featuring both unconventional and some of the more popular toppings, speak about their flavor profiles and explain flavor pairings that go well together. And since this is the BURGERS & BEER event, Marc will match beers that complement each burger.
