Featuring Celebrity Portraits, the Four Seasons of Yosemite, and Southern California Close-Ups.
- Madeline’s Signing Corner
John Bemelmans Marciano is the featured artist for the 2011 Festival of Books. He carries on the legacy begun by his grandfather, Ludwig Bemelmans, and is the author and illustrator of the Madeline books. His most recent book is “Madeline at the White House.” John and his special guest “Madeline” will be signing books and merchandise.
- “What Are You Reading?” Graffiti Wall
Festival goers are invited to grab a marker can give a shout-out to their favorite books by posting book titles on our giant “What are you reading?” graffiti wall located on outside north facing wall of the Times’ Pavilion area.
- “Smile & Win!”
Visit our kiosk, snap a souvenir photo, email it to yourself and be entered to win great prizes!

- Yosemite in Four Seasons Mark spent a spent a year photographing the four seasons in one of his favorite places: Yosemite National Park. His photos were published as series in The Los Angeles Times and will be featured in an upcoming book on Yosemite.

- Celebrity Portraits: The Back Story Genaro shares stories of having coffee with Joni Mitchell, hanging with U2 in Dublin and sharing a bed with comedian Joan Rivers. These and other stories will be revealed behind some of Molina’s most memorable portraits.
