Ticket Info

Admission is free.

Only indoor Conversations and the Book Prizes require tickets. There are three options to obtain tickets for an indoor Conversation:

1. Festival Passes sales ended April 12 at noon.
The Festival Pass is $30 and is the best way to make sure you see your favorite authors. Each Festival Pass includes:

  • Opportunity to reserve up to eight Conversation Tickets, free of any service charges, before they are made available to the general public
  • One official Festival of Books 2013 poster, mailed to the shipping address provided during your order
  • Two free tickets to attend the 2013 Los Angeles Times Book Prizes ceremony on April 19 at USC’s Bovard Auditorium
  • Exclusive opportunity to purchase limited-quantity valet parking at the event (while supplies last)
2. Free Conversation Tickets will be available starting Sunday, April 14, at 9 a.m.

There is a $1 service fee applied to each ticket reserved.
3. Free on-site Conversation Tickets
A limited amount of tickets for each Conversation, while supplies last, are also distributed on site at the Festival of Books ticketing booth on the day of the Conversation — free of service charges. Visit booth #464.
